I’ve had many discussions with “Brides from long ago” who have commented about not wanting the wedding reception to ever end. The ceremony and the dinner just tend to be the lead up to what could end up being an all-nighter (for a select few or the majority of your guests!)
And why not celebrate?! You’ve just married the man of your dreams and you’re surrounded by loved ones. Love and champagne are flowing and even the quietest of guests should have come out of their shell by at least the dessert serving stage of the evening!
So what do you do to make sure that everyone in the room is having the time of their life? Hire the right entertainment! Bad entertainment, whether it is a tragic DJ or a terrible band, can absolutely kill the vibe of your wedding. And no one wants that!
Whatever you decide on, you need to take into consideration the extended hours that they will be required and the guests that you have in the room. Your reception could have guests ranging from 1 to 90, and (even if it is your day!) you do need to make sure you cater to everyone.
One of the main questions we insist our lovely couples asks when speaking with bands/DJs is “how much involvement do I have in the play list selection” It can be a great idea to go through their set list (most DJs/bands will have this on their website) and highlight the songs you love and the songs you hate. This ensures you are both on the same page when it comes to the genres or artists you prefer and highlights anything that will have you or your guests running to the dancefloor (or from the dancefloor!)
South East Queenland band, Redtie, was created to give you more options when choosing your wedding entertainment ~ providing a Duo, a Trio, or larger four, six and eight-piece bands!
It’s that kind of personalisation that we are all about here at Bespoke so we touched base with the crew to find out if they would be our official entertainment at our upcoming Gold Coast Bespoke Bride Wedding Fair. They said ‘YES!’
If you’re coming along (you are, aren’t you?!) you can catch them performing a few sets live throughout the day starting with 2 x 45 minute sets at 10am and 11am.
