With the trend of “relaxed weddings” increasing this year it definitely doesn’t mean that there is less planning going into weddings. In fact, some people go to a lot of effort to have an effortless-chic looking event that allows guests to enjoy an intimate evening with family and friends.
We truly believe that even if you want to be hands-on with the planning and creative aspects of your wedding it can still be necessary to hire a helping hand to assist you on your big day.
Let’s face it – you simply can’t be everywhere at once! It’s also the one day where it really is all about you. You should spend your day getting pampered, with family and friends; a photographer in tow, capturing your every move. And when it comes time for you to walk down the aisle, towards the love of your life, you’ll want to enjoy the moment with nothing else on your mind.
The best advice we can give is: don’t skimp on wedding planning! Even if you need someone to simply help you with the set up of the ceremony (which can often be the case with many Garden weddings these days) or to style the Reception venue while you’re busy getting ready (or getting married!) it is well worth the dollars to book a professional. The sister of your best friend’s cousin who “just loves events” isn’t the right candidate for the job, even though it sounds like a save, and free (or cheap option)!
There are Wedding Planners and/or Stylists that will take care of either Month-Out Planning or simply provide On-The-Day Coordination. Be sure to ask the question of any Wedding Suppliers you are considering in your area!
